John Belushi honoured 30 years after death

Tonight's tribute concert at Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, Illinois, will feature guest stars (and original Blues Brothers Band members) Shaffer, Tom 'Bones' Malone, 'Blue' Lou Marini, and Matt 'Guitar' Murphy as well as Otis Day from Animal House. The performance is being produced by Aykroyd and Belushi's widow, Judith Belushi and will be broadcast live on Facebook.

Aykroyd told WKCC 91.1 FM Radio today: "I had eight incredible years with John. We had a friendship. It was love at first sight. It was hard for me to process then ... I miss him every day. Especially when I go into the House of Blues He was really an artist, you know. Much more an artist than a mercantilist. If he had lived he would be directing plays and musicals. He would be one of the premier directors on Broadway."
