Russian banker German Gorbuntsov shot on London doorstep 'knows who was behind attack'

Mr Gorbuntsov, 45, is the former owner of a series of banks in Russia and Moldova, who has controlled Moscow's Spartak hockey club. He claimed to have lost up to $1 billion to "raiders" in a series of complex financial disputes.

Vadim Vedenin, one of Mr Gorbuntsov's lawyers, claims British detectives want to travel to Russia to question suspects but are being blocked by Moscow.

Detective Chief Inspector Russell Taylor, who is leading the investigation, denied Russia was obstructing the investigation, adding: "We are still at the fact-finding stage".
