Konongo (Ash), Sept 13, GNA - A teacher at the Konongo Oxford International Junior High School (JHS) in the Asante-Akim Central Municipality has been rewarded with an undisclosed cash prize for his outstanding performance at a ceremony.
According to the citation candidates presented by the school for this year's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) scored grade one and two in Basic Design Technology (BDT), a subject that Mr Quayson Da-Costa, has been teaching.
For five years running, this has been the trend of performance by students in the BDT examination.

" The management would continue to provide incentive packages to motivate the teaching staff to give off their best.," he said adding that the school has a solid academic achievement and this they would build on.
Thirty-nine (39) out of the 40 students, who sat for this year's BECE, scored between aggregate six and nine with only one candidate scoring aggregate 19.
Mr Rockson Awuah, Director of the School, said discipline and hard work were their core values.
