SADA demo in Tamale tomorrow

The Young Patriots will tomorrow hold a massive demonstration through some principal streets of the Tamale metropolis against the Mills-Mahama led NDC administration “for using GH¢640million of Ghanaian tax payer's money to pay fraudulent claims to its cohorts”

According to the group, the purpose of the demonstration will be to press home the need for government to retrieve all such claims fraudulently paid and put into the account of the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority, which hitherto, has received only $25 million in three years as opposed to the promised GH¢600 million as contained in the 2008 NDC Manifesto

“We will also as part of the demonstration and as a measure to ensure the monies are retrieved, collect signatures of all participants to present to Parliament, the Presidency, the US embassy, the UK embassy and other development partners such as the IMF and World Bank to put pressure on government to pay back the monies”, the statement read.

As part of the series of demonstration to be held by the Young Patriots to ensure the gargantuan monies are retrieved, the Young patriots   will also be on the streets of Bolgatanga, the capital of the Upper East region on 20th March, 2012.
