Presidential Candidates contesting for this year elections have been urged to accept defeat and support anyone who wins the December polls in order to foster peace to a accelerate Ghana's development.
The Out-going Presiding Elder of the Central Assembly of the Church of Pentecost at Odumase in the Brong-Ahafo region, Elder Emmanuel Mensah popular known as Joe Mensah, said the only thing that politicians can give to Ghana as her 55th birthday pleasant is to ensure that total peace prevail before, during and after the December polls.
Elder Joe Mensah who was preaching his last sermon at the Central Assembly said in every contest one loses and another one wins, adding that whosoever God will choose to lead the nation for the next four years should be accepted and supported by all. He warned politicians not to do anything to encourage their followers to foment election trouble during and after the general elections.
On the biometric regeneration exercise, he advised Ghanaians to take the exercise very serious to ensure that prospective voters are captured. Elder Joe Mensah who has been transferred to the Emmanuel Assembly asked the Clergy to use the pulpit to educate their congregation on the biometric registration exercise.
He urged the Electoral Commission to ensure all registration centers have the need equipment to facilitate smooth registration exercise. Elder Joe Mensah asked the Church members to support to the new the Presiding Elder, Elder Agyei Duah to promote both the spiritual and physical growth of the Church. He asked them not become weary in doing well for in due season they shall reap, if they do not give up.
