Minister appeals Ghanaians to support Better Ghana Agenda

Breman Asikuma (C/R), Feb 22, GNA - The Central Regional Minister, Mrs Ama Benyiwa Doe, has urged Ghanaians to steadfastly support the government to execute the Better Ghana Agenda to better their lot.

Madam Benyiwa Doe made the appeal at the inauguration of the rehabilitated Breman Asikuma Lorry Park at GHȼ 201,072.00, which was executed by the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District Assembly.

She said three years the Government had undertaken numerous development projects and programmes.

She said pursuing political power did not mean war so those beating war drums must stop.

The Minister said the Central Regional Administration had set aside funds towards the completion of the Cape Coast Town Hall that had been at a standstill for nine years.

Mrs Georgina Nkrumah Aboah, the District Chief Executive, said the Assembly undertook the project to save passengers and drivers from walking in the mud.

Nana Okoriyaw Abonyi X, Adontenhene of the area, who chaired the ceremony on behalf of the Omanhen, Odeefo Amoakwa Buadu VIII, expressed his gratitude to the Assembly for the project.

He appealed to the Assembly to deal with drivers who book outside the station to escape payment of taxes.
