The flag-bearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will take his turn today at the Evening Encounter with Presidential candidates, organised by the Institute of Economic Affairs.
The Evening Encounter has already seen the flag bearers of the People's National Convention (PNC), Hassan Ayariga and the Convention People's Party (CPP), Abu Sakara Foster taking their turn and explaining to Ghanaians why they should be elected president of the nation in the December polls.
Mr Boakye Agyarko, Campaign Manager of Nana Addo, told Joy News the NPP flag-bearer was prepared and ready to share his vision for the development of the nation.
Mr Agyarko said Ghanaians “should expect [to hear from] a very articulate, clear minded and confident leader who can competently manage the economy.”
Nana Addo is expected to bring clarity to his signature promise of free senior high education under his presidency.
His critics have criticized the policy as an unrealistic, lofty idea designed only to win votes – criticisms he has consistently rejected.
Mr Agyarko said the NPP flag-bearer will also outline measures to tackle corruption “and all the major issues that plague us in this nation.”
The encounter will be aired and streamed live on Joy FM and Myjoyonline.com respectively and starts at 6pm.
