Wolves have conceded in their last 25 Premier League matches...on the plus side...Blackburn haven't had a clean sheet for 30 games. Still think that match has draw written all over it. Elsewhere if Chelsea can't pull something off against 10-man Stoke then there really is no hope, while it's goalless at the Stadium of Light it seems Sunderland have the edge and are the most likely to score while Villa and Fulham both seem apprehensive to make any effort to score. Let's see how things pan out in the second halves.

39 mins: well there's me expecting a flurry of goals from these four matches but we're approaching the break and nothing....a red card at Stamford Bridge the only excitement. Besides the blood shed I'm not sure I've even mentioned Villa v Fulham....which speaks volumes about the levels of entertainment at Villa Park.

36 mins: Another opportunity for Chelsea, simple header for Drogba but he misses it completely...the follow up goes to Kalou who makes just as bad a hash of it. Still goalless and Stoke will be desperate to get to the break now. If you're just joining us they are down to 10 men with Fuller sent off for stamping.

2:40 Last but by no means least this afternoon, Wolves are entertaining Blackburn. It's a huge fixture for both sides who are level on points in 18th and 17th place respectively and desperate for a win to haul them away from the drop zone. Wolves have much to put right following a 5-0 mauling by Fulham last weekend and this afternoon welcome back Sebastien Bassong, Steven Fletcher and possibly captain Roger Johnson (disciplined on Monday for being in an unfit condition to train.
Steve Kean will be relieved to have Gael Givet and Jason Lowe back in his defence options with both returning from suspension.

Manager Terry Connor has tried to instil a siege mentality at Molineux as they fight for survival, but no amount of team bonding can make up for the fact that they simply look incapable of defending. Yakubu could well enjoy a lucrative afternoon, but by the same token so could Steven Fletcher at the other end. Either way, it's hard to see this one ending goalless."

2:35 Third fixture this afternoon sees Fulham travel to Aston Villa with the homeside looking for their first win at Villa Park since December. Alex McLeish will no doubt be delighted he has no fresh injury concerns while Aaron Hughes is a doubt for Fulham. Adding to Martin Jol's injury concerns are Stephen Kelly (quad) and Zdenek Grygera.

Fulham are chasing Liverpool for seventh place while Villa sit eight points above the drop zone. While a win will do wonders for McLeish's relationship with the fans, Jonathan Liew is backing Fulham to secure their fourth consecutive win with a 3-1 scoreline.

Steven Gerrard [bench] is back for Liverpool having missed last weekend's defeat at Arsenal.
Cattermole and Sessegnon's absence will be a boost for Liverpool though not enough for Jonathan Liew to back them for a win; his prediction a repeat of the fixture earlier this season: 1-1.

2:17: Let's start our build-up at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea contest the Premier League for the first time this season without Andre Villas-Boas. With Roberto Di Matteo in charge the west London club are hosting Stoke City with whom they drew 0-0 in the reverse fixture back in August. It's somewhat appropriate that Stoke were Chelsea's first opposition under the guidance of AVB and now their first without the Portuguese.
John Terry is set to return to action for the first time since undergoing surgery on his knee while Ashley Cole is reportedly fit after sustaining a heel injury against West Brom last weekend meaning a full-strength squad is available.
Stoke meanwhile are likely to be without defender Andy Wilkinson and Rory Delap remains a doubt. We'll know pretty soon if Tony Pulis is including them in his starting line-up.
