Suicide attack in Afghanistan kills 2 police officers

The attack took place at the directorate of communication building in Sharana City, the capital of Paktika province, on Tuesday morning, according to a statement from the interior ministry.

Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) -- As many as four suspected suicide bombers attacked government offices in Afghanistan on Tuesday, resulting in violence that left at least two police officers and two of the assailants dead, the interior ministry said.

One police officer was wounded in the gun battle at the building, the statement said.
