13.11 BROTHERS ON THE FROW
What do blokes actually wear when they're taking in a 10-minute fashion show? Take a look at our slideshow to see how Kanye West, Bill Nighy and Tinie Tempah get dressed for the occasion.

The make-up artist at the Agi & Sam show was clearly so distracted by all the pretty males around, that she accidentally drew this unfortunate model's moustache upside down...

12.50 WHERE'S RONNIE?
The Rolling Stones rocker was greeted by Sir Philip Green at the Topman Design show, and promptly whipped photographers up into a frenzy.

12.42 AGI & SAM AT MAN

PHOTO: AP
This was the highlight of this season's MAN event - a bold and energetic collection that made expert use of colour and pattern which was at times perfectly coordinated and at others perfectly discordant. Jackson Pollack-esque paint splats opened the show - printed onto or woven into jackets, heavy overcoats, trousers and suiting. Checks and tartans in vibrant shades of blue red and orange were blown up and applied to tailoring. The most delightful and whimsical element was a white suit covered in an enormous printed hen print. - David Nicholls

12.30 SHAUN SAMSON AT MAN

PHOTOS: AP
Shaun Samson has very quick hands or he was the benefactor of a bit of fashion serendipity this morning. Just a few hours after it was announced that Edvard Munch's iconic Scream painting was to be sold, two of Samson's models lumbered down the catwalk at the MAN show wearing tops bearing large scale I press ions of Munch's haunting face. In typical Samson style though the images were cut and dyed into faux fur panels on to the front over oversized tee shirts. The designer's collection was once again a play on proportions - enormous tees and parkas, super cropped trousers and drop-waisted dungarees. The effect is a bit hip hop, a bit sport, a bit street. The result is also, often, the appearance of teeny tiny legs. - David Nicholls

12.20 ASTRID ANDERSON AT MAN

PHOTOS: AP
It's a look which is sometimes called 'sports luxe' - a term calls to mind a better, finer, more fashionable version of sports inspired clothing - perhaps a hoodie made from cashmere rather than cotton jersey. That was certainly the case at some pints here in this Danish Londoner's latest collection. Track suits made from shimmering silver crushed velvet weren't nearly as bad as they sound for example. Less convincing for me were the orange padded jumpsuit and the lashings of hyperpink sheer netting and fur trimmed and fur panelled silver parkas. - David Nicholls

12.10 THE FUTURE LOOKS BEARDED

PHOTOS: AP

Label Agi and Sam used what looks like a cast of 'real' men for their show at the Royal Opera House. And each had their own magnificent array of facial hair to bring to the runway. Frizzy and ginger or long and brunette, anything goes, it seems.

12:00 JW ANDERSON COLLABORATION? 'ALDO IT'

Hot-to-name-drop JW Anderson collaborated with Aldo again on the shoes in his menswear collection. If padded, white ski boots-ish footwear is your thing, then JW is your man. They look like a hard sell for your average Joe - unlike the heels he's done, again with Aldo, for women this season. - Phong Luu

11.45 BACK OF THE, ERM, HAIRNET

No longer the preserve of 'elf and safety inspectors, the humble hairnet was given a new lease of life by designer Shaun Samson at MAN show. But do let not this piece of headgear detract from the hairy baseball style top…

11:40 BOK BOK BOK BOKKKKKKKK
That's the sound of chickens, FYI. They're crowing all over Menswear Day. To wit, JW Anderson's rooster-printed jumpers which served as a wake-up call at his show's 9am start time, and Agi & Sam, one of a trio of new designers showing under the MAN platform, where plump chickens appeared on white suits and suits. Which reminds us that we could do with a recovery-from-fashion-week roast on Sunday... - Phong Luu, Daily Telegraph fashion features associate

11.25 COCK-A-DOODLE-DO! ANDREJ PEJIC LANDS HIS FIRST BEAUTY DEAL

Our favourite gender-bending male model, Andrej Pejic, has scored his first major men's beauty campaign for Jean Paul Gaultier. But has he been cast as a boy, or a girl? Read more about it here

11.17 CATERPILLAR COLLABORATION

Two of the designer's on today's schedule, Martine Rose and James Long, have collaborated with Cat Footwear. Rose (who offered the balaclava hairstyles, below) has made over the famous workwear boots in autumnal orange and deep burgundy (left), while James Long has infused a heritage twist with racing green and patent accents. The styles will be available from September on the Cat website with prices from £199.

11.01 BALACLAVA HAIR

PHOTO: GETTY

Check out the incredible hair looks from the Martine Rose show. We like the fact the stylist steered away from the predictable neon dip-dye and opted for some muted tones. They sort of look like balaclavas. Boys, one for you?

10.45 TEEN DREAM STYLE

PHOTO: GETTY

A word about last night's Brit Awards, where teen quartet One Direction referenced a Farrow & Ball colour chart to find every available shade of grey. We're quite taken with Harry Styles' (centre) big black bow, and is that fake tan Louis Tomlinson (second from right) is sporting? On another note, it's worth mentioning that these well-dressed lads have a combined age of 93...

10.40 MEANWHILE IN MILAN…

...The first show of the season has just finished, Simonetta Ravizzi. Um, don't worry, we haven't heard of her either…

10.28 J.W ANDERSON GETS IT

PHOTO: AFP
Someone seems to have had a quiet word in the ear of young J.W. Anderson after his spring/summer 2012 show last year which seemed to be an exploration of the unsellable if not the unwearable. While this morning's presentation lacked none of the creativity the designer has previously shown to have in spades, it displayed a better understanding of what men might actually wear. For amid the swirling psychedelic prints and quilted trousers there were sharp geometric knits, cleverly detailed cable knit jumpers that played on a nautical rope theme and a recurring rooster motif that appeared on crew neck sweaters and shell suits. One of the strongest elements of the collection was Anderson's quilted leatherwork - from black bomber jackets to orange pullovers. A great step forward for a young designer who is on the rise. - David Nicholls, men's style editor, Telegraph Magazine.

10.17 WHERE ARE THE WOMEN?

So, when they're not to busy holding things up (see previous tweet about men's shows starting on time) the female creatures of the fashion world are off to Milan to check out the womenswear shows for autumn/winter 2012. Today it's Gucci at 14.00 and then Alberta Ferretti. There really is no rest for the wicked...

10.02 DESIGNER INSIDER: GIEVES & HAWKES (showing a presentation 10am-2pm)
Barry Tulip was appointed design director of Savile Row tailor Gieves & Hawkes in April last year, and today he will show off his first collection for the 241 year-old brand. The Central Saint Martins graduate describes his position at the label a 'career highlight', having previously worked at Z Zegna in Milan and Dunhill in London. Tulip says his favourite decades in fashion "changes all the time", but at the moments it's the late 1960s and early 1970s. He seeks artistic inspiration from the Barbican and whatever exhibitions are on in London. For autumn/winter 2012 he was inspired by: "The three Davids... David Hicks, David Hockney and David Bowie."

09.45 LET'S DISECT LAST NIGHT...

PHOTO: GETTY

While we wait for the menswear shows to kick in, a small note on Sam Cam's Downing Street soiree last night. The newsdesk here at Telegraph HQ aren't convinced by Cameron's Roksanda Ilincic full length block colour pink number, calling it the "possibly the worst thing she's ever worn". What do you think? Read more about the event here

----------

09.40 WHO KNEW?
...that menswear shows start on time? But then again, men will tell us that they're always on time, and that it's us females slowing the world down...

09.30 DEDICATED FOLLOWERS OF MENSWEAR

It might be early, but the appreciators of menswear are in full swing, with Louis Vuitton totes at the ready, studded accoutrements and lashings of attitude…
