Few people live to tell their shark attack stories, Australian surfer Glen Folkard is one of the few people who can tell about the gigantic Bull Shark that attacked him just three months ago.

44 year-old Glen Folkard a tattoo artist was surfing in Redhead Beach near Newcastle on January when he was lying on his board 150m from shore, when he was mauled by a10ft bull shark, he grabbed by his thigh chopping a large chuck of flesh (aprox. 4 pounds), and a piece of his surfboard..
He’s hit me from underneath, he’s grabbed me, he’s turned me, took me under and then let go because I think he had fiberglass in his mouth… and that was my chance.”
And even as he was bleeding profusely Glen swam, got back on his board and paddle leaving a trail of blood behind him, he said he saw a black shadow after the trail, it was the shark coming after him
“I just remember rolling off the surfboard on to my back, looking at the sky and just loving life instantly. I was laying on my back looking just at the blue sky, going ‘I’m alive, I made it’ because it was all but over. He was metres away from having a second go.”
He was taken to Josh Hunter Hospital, where he underwent surgery, two months later Glen or Lenny speaks about his horrifying experience. John lives with his lovely wife Angela and children Ellie, 13, Grace, 9, and Cooper, 2.
