When I first heard the story about George Clooney getting arrested I thought, maybe it was for a new movie, but then why was his father Nick arrested too? well not the arrest was pretty much real and the reason is not as severe as some might speculate, you see the reason the Clooneys were arrested along Rep. Jim Moran and other protesters who were protesting over the children in Sudan
“Stop raping them and Stop starving then, That all we ask” George said.
The protesters accused president Omar al-Bashir of blocking the passage of food and id in South Sudan..

‘The first question is something immediate – and immediately we need humanitarian aid to be allowed into the Sudan before it becomes the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.’
50 year-old George and his father 78 year-old Nick Clooney were arrested and released on a $100 bond the famous duo have been using joining forces to help the people of Darfur they traveled together when George filmed the documentary A Journey to Darfur.
Nick was an anchorman for WKYT-TV in Lexington, Kentucky, back in the 60’s, in 1968 he left to start his own “Nick Clooney Show by WLWC in Ohio and by WCPO-TV in Cincinnati the following year. In 1974 he was the host of The Money Maze. ABC’s game show; the show was canceled the following year and Nick left WKRC in 1984 but returned in 1989.
He ran as a Democrat in the 2004 election for a seat in the House of Representatives representing Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District, against Geoff Davis, he lost 44% to 54%.
He got married to Nina Warren on August 1959 she was beauty pageant contestant he met in Ohio while he was a judge in the pageant, they had two children together Ada and George.
