At the beginning of the body plan, my fat percentage was 30 per cent, and Mark said it would be amazing to get it down to 25 per cent. The day of the final session and the all-important weigh-in dawned and, drum-roll please, it has dropped by two per cent, down to 28.
I have also lost five kilos and crucially, the circumference of my thighs, stomach and hips – have all dropped by a couple of inches, which according to my lovely trainer Michael, is the biggest sign of success.
Despite not dropping my fat percentage as much as Mark had hoped (25 per cent being a very ambitious target according to the gym guru himself), I have burned fat reserves – which are the hardest to hit – and lost inches.
I have dropped a dress size, feel loose in my clothes and for the first time since leaving school, feel really agile.
The team at Mark Anthony were very supportive and thorough. They have also given me some great tips for my own regime at the gym – which I have faithfully promised to fulfil three times a week.
There are still seven months until the big day and although nervous of my ability to commit to fitness, I am more determined than ever before not to let the last six weeks of early morning toil go to waste.
