Government revokes appointment of two District Chief Executives

Accra, Dec. 22, GNA – President John Evans Atta Mills has revoked the appointments of Mr Wavei Robert Baka, Sissala West District Chief Executive (DCE) and Mr Seidu Tungbani, Wa West District Chief Executive with immediate effect.
A statement issued in Accra on Thursday by Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development said: "The out-going DCEs are...requested to properly handover to the Upper West Regional Minister who will exercise oversight responsibility over the districts."
