The bail plea of IAS officer Y Srilakshmi, one of the accused in the Obulapuram Mining Company case involving former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, was dismissed by a local court here today.
The special court for CBI cases rejected the bail application of Srilakshmi, arrested by the central agency last year for allegedly misusing her official position in granting controversial mining leases to OMC.
The same court had granted her conditional bail on December 2. However, the central agency then approached the high court.
On January 2, the high court reversed the order and asked her to surrender before the CBI court before January 6. Since then she is in judicial custody.
