Nana Akufo-Addo is a source of inspiration to many Ghanaian youths including myself. He is a great role model whose name and policy will become a synonymous for liberty, self reliant and strength.
If Ghana is to maintain its reputation and respect established by Ex president Kufuor's administration but decaying under president Mills, she will need a leader in 2012 who has the following qualities, good education, professional experience, the ability to articulate, self-confidence and understanding of perplexity of its citizens, all contribute to the chemistry of a good and effective leader.
I believe in the world of competition for limited resources,Ghana needs a leader who is charismatic, intelligent ,of determined character, able, who would command, control, and with skills to ensure Ghana continues to compete globally. With every fibre of honesty in a white angel, I do not think our current president has, with the exception of good education any of these qualities. It will be interesting who the NDC puts forward as harbouring such qualities as their presidential candidate for the 2012 presidential contest.
From his writings and speeches I believe Nana-Addo WILL create opportunities for the youths of Ghana , humbled by the NDC government . Nana Akufo-Addo, is driven by belief in the kind of society his father conceived Ghana to be. His vision of Ghana is a society of citizens who are up right, self-sufficient, property owning, energetic, adventures, independent-minded, loyal to family and friends and robust against enemies. Scrutinize his speeches and writings and you will see his driven to give more people, particularly the youth greater opportunity.
He looms above all his rivals in the 2012 presidential election, he knows that talent is not limited to class and for the talented to triumph, indeed the nation's constraints on ambitions of the youths and the not so well off population has to be removed. For him it is not a matter of furnishing the youth and the under privilege with privileges, but providing them with opportunities.
I will end here by appealing to my fellow Ghanaians from within all the ten regions and of voting age to put Ghana first by electing a leader who has all the above qualities. Also a leader who will have respect at an international level, robust amongst world leaders, and is able to argue our nation's case, not buckle, and walk in front and not behind world leaders whilst they are on visit to our nation as our current president did during the state visit by president Obama. Also a leader who can show a distinguishing characteristic of a president who is sure and certain at all times especially on the international stage and amongst world leaders.
I believe Nana Akufo-Addo is such a leader for 2012 and beyond.
