Tens of angry artisans have besieged the premises of Joy FM demanding justice for a colleague who was gunned down Tuesday afternoon at Alajo but died later at the Hospital.

Chanting in red arm bands, singing and demonstrating, the protestors say the suspect who fired indiscriminately must be brought to book.

One of the artisans, Raymond Osei told Joy News' Israel Laryea, the suspect whom he believes has links to the corridors of power, may be walking free.

A minor misunderstanding over where to park a vehicle at Alajo mechanic shop, turned bloody when a car dealer fired into a crowd of artisans who were pushing his car out of the way.

According to the artisans, they told the suspect to move his car which had been parked just at the precincts of the mechanic and was causing some traffic.

The suspect allegedly ignored the advice and moved out of the vehicle leaving a lady passenger in the car.

The artisans then decided to push the car away to a better place, something the suspect was unhappy about.

He fired a number of warning shots and allegedly aimed at firing one of the artisans who sat in the car in an attempt to park it at a better place.

But a stray bullet hit one of the artisans, Richard Boadi, who was standing closer to the action but was not involved in the skirmishes.

He was rushed to the Greater Accra Region Hospital but was pronounced dead, Wednesday.

His colleagues say the suspect must be brought to book.

Tesano District Police Commander Superintendent Edward Tetteh told Joy News they are yet to determine the actual cause of the death.

According to him, an autopsy is yet to be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.

He stated however that the suspect is in the custody of the police and is facing charges of attempted murder.
